The Family Tree, Family Consignment Shop

Welcome to the Family Tree! We are pleased to have you become one of our valued consignors.

What Is Consignment?

Consignment is an easy way for you to make some extra money by selling the brand name clothing you no longer wear.

Buying consignment is good for the planet, keeping TRILLIONS of tons of clothing OUT of landfills every year, and is an economical way to replenish your wardrobe. You get trendy, quality clothing at a fraction of the price, and you are doing something amazing for the planet at the same time! Shopping local is great for the economy, and when you shop consignment, you're supporting YOUR local community!

How It Works:

Are you a first time consignor? Bring us in a few (5-10) items, anytime during business hours. We will go through your items while you shop, to see if we are a good fit for each other. We will set you up with an account and you are now set to bring in items whenever you like!

We accept high quality, brand name and designer clothing in excellent, barely worn or "like new" condition. It is important to us to provide the highest possible quality in clothing, footwear, handbags and accessories. We accept clothing for men, women and children, that has been purchased within the last 2 years. Vintage items from the 80's and 90's are welcome in most cases as well, but are accepted on a "client demand" basis.

Brands We Love:

Bench, lululemon, American Eagle, PINK, Joe Fresh, Silver, Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Roots, UGG, Converse, Pink Martini, LOFT, Kismet, Sorel, Aritiza, Justice, The Children's Place, MEXX, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, VANS, Guess, Abercrombi & Fitch, Michael Kors, Fila, Fossil, Garage, Ricki's, Reitmans, Le Chateau, Banana Republic, Gap, Free People and more.

Items accepted for sale are selected at the discretion of The Family Tree as we do our absolute best to meet our clients needs and want to provide the best possible quality. Please understand, there are sometimes items we cannot sell, such as undergarments, hosiery, "house brands" like George, faded or worn out items, clothing with under arm stain etc.. We love your fur family, but please do your best to keep your items free of fur. Items that smell like smoke, must or mold will not be accepted. We are happy to donate any "No thank you" items to local charities on your behalf, should you choose this option as a consignor.

Once you have your account set up, you can come in anytime during business hours to drop off your items. Please make sure your drop off is labeled with your first and last name.

Your items are sorted and priced in sequence of arrival at the time of drop off. This can take up to 10 business days depending on the time of year and size of drop offs.

Once sorted, we would be happy to donate any declined items to charity on your behalf. You can also choose to pick up any "no's" if you prefer.

Great! you're all done. We are happy to donate your “no’s” on your behalf to local charity for FREE!

If you would like to PICK UP any declined items, we will call or email once your items have been sorted. To help us keep our storage area clutter free, we ask that you return to pick up any “no’s” within 7 business days from the date of drop off. Any unclaimed "no's" will be disposed of at the discretion of The Family Tree after 14 days.

Any items that clearly do not meet the requirements and standards or are not in resale condition (broken, incomplete stained etc...) a disposal service fee will be applied to the account.

Items accepted for sale will be on display for 60 days.

After the consignment period is over you may once again choose to have any "unsold items" donated to charity on your behalf. We are happy to do this for you for free!

You may also decide to PICK UP any items that have not sold. If you choose to pick up unsold items, please note it is YOUR responsibility to keep track of your expiry date. We ask that you call, message or email us with at least 2 business days notice for when you plan to pick up expired, unsold items. A grace period of 14 business days will be given once the term has ended to make a "pick up" request, after which they will become the property of The Family Tree.

Pricing is set at the discretion of The Family Tree. Condition, quality, resale value, demand and other factors are all considered when establishing sale price, with a 60/40 store/consignor split on final sale price.
