Due to health and safety regulations, added cleaning and sanitizing regulations we have a strict limit of 25 items per drop off per client.
if you have a larger drop off, please feel free to get in touch with us. We will do our best to accommodate your request, however we would like to be fair to everyone and reserve the right to decline larger drop offs.
Items must be free of damage and complete (no missing or broken elements like belts, snaps zippers, etc..). Items must be free of stains, rips, tears, pulls, scuffs etc.. in "like new," barely worn or new with tags attached and purchased within the last two years.
Accessories must be clean and in excellent condition.
Footwear, handbags and shoes must be in barely worn condition, scuff free and no cracks in the leather.
Items accepted for sale are selected at the discretion of The Family Tree as we do our absolute best to meet our clients needs and want to provide the best possible quality. Please understand, there are sometimes items we cannot sell, such as undergarments, hosiery, "house brands" like George, faded or worn out items, clothing with under arm stain etc.. We love your fur family, but please do your best to keep your items free of fur. Items that smell like smoke, must or mold will not be accepted. We are happy to donate any "No thank you" items to local charities on your behalf, should you choose this option as a consignor.

DROPPING OFF ITEMS
Our goal is to create a safe, easy, contactless and convenient way for clients to drop off items. To do this we’ve created a curb side locker system. To drop off your items, simply call, email or message us over social media. Together, we will decide on a drop off day that works for you. No need to worry about specific times. There are 5 slots available for drop off each day. You will receive a confirmation email with a locker number and unique code. Simply pull up to the store, unlock your locker and place your items inside. Remember to reattach the lock before you leave.
Your items are sorted and priced within 10 business days.
IF YOU ARE A "DONATE" CLIENT:
We will donate any no's and unsold items to charity on your behalf for FREE!
IF YOU ARE A PICK UP CLIENT:
If you would like to PICK UP any declined items, we ask that you return to the store within 3 business days, from the date of drop off to pick up any declined items. We will do our best to ensure your items are sorted within 24 hours. Any unclaimed "no's" will be disposed of at the discretion of The Family Tree after 10 business days. You will have to come into the store to pick up your declined items.
If you choose to pick up unsold items, please note it is YOUR responsibility to keep track of your expiry date. We ask that you call, message or email us with at least 2 business days notice for when you plan to pick up expired, unsold items. We will arrange a "pick up" day and will have your items ready for contactless, curb side locker pick up. You will receive a confirmation email, with a locker number and a unique code. Your in A grace period of 14 business days will be given once the term has ended to make a "pick up" request, after which they will become the property of The Family Tree.
Any items that clearly do not meet the requirements and standards or are not in resale condition (broken, incomplete stained etc...) a disposal service fee will be applied to the account.
Items accepted for sale will be on display for 60 days.
Pricing is set at the discretion of The Family Tree. Condition, quality, resale value, demand and other factors are all considered when establishing sale price, with a 60/40 store/consignor split on final sale price.

You can choose to paid out at any time by cash or cheque (payouts over $40 will be issued a cheque)
Accounts that remain dormant for greater than 12 months with become dormant and will be eligible for store credit only.
DUE TO NEW HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS WE WILL NO LONGER BE CARRYING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
pyjamas, onesies, infant sleepers, bibs, receiving blankets and other baby care items, swimwear, bras, paperback children’s books, puzzles, hats and mitts, cosmetics and perfume, picture frames, socks, tights, slippers, stuffed animals, small toys, cd’s, dvd’s, vhs tapes and medical scrubs.
Specialty items like hard cover children’s books, toys, home decor, are more difficult to keep clean and will be accepted based on available space quantity, quality, condition and market demand. If you have items you are not sure about, please feel free to call, message or pop into the store and ask. Some specialty items may be priced with a 50/50 store/consignor rate, with a 6 month consignment period, depending on the item.
We do NOT accept sporting goods, safety equipment or furniture. This includes items like:
cribs, car seats, helmets, skates, beds, baby gates, shin pads, protective equipment etc…

We do our best to provide high quality and popular clothing for the whole family. To meet our clients needs to the best of our ability, there are some brands we do not carry:
George, G21, Primium Plus, Bum Equipment, Lilly Morgan, Blue Crush, Cherokee, Digital, Faded Glory, Athletic Works, Candy Couture, N.W.D., My Style, Northern Reflections, Tan Jay, Alia, Talbots, Lindor and others as the needs and demands of our clients change.
Please note: The Family Tree is not responsible for lost, damaged or stollen items, including damage from acts of God.
